Established in 2010, the Silvio Cella Family Foundation carries forward the contributions Coach Silvio Cella made to high school football, by supporting gridiron programs in Massachusetts.

The Silvio Cella Family Foundation is a non-profit organization that offers thousands of dollars in annual grants to deserving high school football programs, to help provide the structure and tools needed for student-athletes and coaches to excel on the football field and, more importantly, to prepare young men for college, careers and family.

Coach Cella made countless contributions to high school football and student-athletes during his 49 year career as football coach and athletic director at Revere High School. He coached two undefeated team, won five Greater Boston League championship titles and in 1973, his RHS Patriots played in SuperBowl II. Coach Cella has the distinction as the winningest coach at RHS.

Growing up in Revere, football provided a valuable focus for Silvio Cella, making him a better student. As an All-American at Boston University, and as an active-duty Marine, he learned about leadership, commitment and innovation. And, as the head football coach at Revere High, he taught discipline, loyalty, teamwork and integrity, to build character and prepare his players to succeed in life.

Whether you played for him, coached with him or simply appreciate the important impact a dynamic and dedicated high school football coach can have on his players and his community, we hope you will join with us, to acknowledge those contributions and support Massachusetts high school football.
